Norma Jean, but I liked the fact that the proceeds from the Diana version went to some of her charities.

They were basically the same song with some of the words altered. I do love Goodbye Norma Jean more than the newer version. They are both sad songs about how precarious our lives are. A puff of wind and the candle blows out.

NORMA JEAN! I think it was an insult to NJ when the song was done for Diana...you just can't compare the two

Princess Diana was just a rich figurehead. If she really wanted to help others, why not give some of the billions of dollars she had. Oh wait, that's too easy. I don't know why the world cared so much. the first version was better.

Both had meaning for two really beautiful women. Although in reality Princess Diana did do much more charitable work and used her money and fame to help others. Marilyn however(as beautiful as she was) used her beauty to help her achieve more.

Norma Jean. I mean my god, he took one dead womans song and dedicated it to another? He couldn't just write a NEW song? Pshaw!
