Ritz Carlton. The tub in the bathroom overlooks the bay, it's an amazing view and something you and your new spouse can enjoy.

Congratulations...

If you can afford it, try the Raffles Hotel. It is an all suite hotel and is pretty expensive. Somerset Maughn stayed there before.

For excellent service, the Ritz Carlton is the best. Get the Bay View rooms to get the best facing.

There are a number of 'older' hotels - but nonetheless still good hotels in the Orchard road area, such as the Marriot and Meritus Mandarin Orchard which is right in the shopping belt. The Shangri-La, Intercontinental and are also good choices, just off Orchard Road. They are quiet but convenient. A resort type hotel can be found in Sentosa island - Rasa Sentosa and The Beufort. If you intend to just relax and enjoy the sun and sand, then this is the place to go.

There are a lot more hotels than I could mention in this posting. Try looking at the Singapore website for more information. The URL is www.sg

I would try to make sure you stay in a reputable & well known hotel since you are traveling out of the country.

But no matter where you decide to go I have the perfect solution. Sign up with a Honeymoon Registry.
Its like a gift registry but instead your guests can buy portions of your honeymoon for you. This way you get to choose the honeymoon you want and wont have to compromise due to a tight budget.

This is totally free for you to use.

You can choose from locations worldwide and you get to choose what you want it to include. Whether its a dinner, horseback riding, larger suite etc. Its all up to you because you get to customize it.

The website even provides you a way to mail a card or email the guests to notify them of your announcement and registry.

Its a great idea for budget conscious couples.

Just visit the website below and click on Honeymoon Registry and choose your dream honeymoon. Its that simple.

I am a travel agent and this is my own booking search engine.

Please let me know if I can do anything else.

Congratulations on your wedding :)

I strongly recommend you to stay in at Marina Mandarin. Thats the best and king of all hotels in Singapore. Its listed in Leading Hotels of the World Website too. And also, if you looking for a budget hotel, Hotel 81 is nice. Bencoleen one especially. The rooms are in par with 5 star hotels. Quite comfortable with Aircon and city center and Orchard is quite nearby. Good for a honeymoon. What else you need ? My advice, dont take cab here, its sky rocketing high. Take public transport. Here even the blind can use public transport, as everything so transparent and not so complicated and also travel in style as everything aircon. Ok ? Try to save money in Singapore as everything costly. Air also stands still, as concrete jungle. Even the beaches looks artificial, no waves, but got currents and that isnt visible when you sit down and relax at the beach sand. All coz of this country's fullest development in infrastructure etc ... Welcome to the machine country - Singapore. People all like Robots.

On Sentosa: dreamy, romantic, intimate.
This beachfront beauty is the only beachfront hotel in Singapore. The 5-star resort's 459 rooms and suites offer a choice of stunning views: overlooking the South China Sea or the plush hills of Fort Siloso.
With its location right on Siloso Beach, guests have convenient access to numerous watersport activities at the sea sports centre. Guests can also use the resort's huge free-form swimming pool and 2 outdoor Jacuzzis. In addition, a comprehensive range of spa treatments, sauna and massage facilities are also offered at the Health Club & Spa.

Dining outlets offer a selection of tempting delights throughout the day. Take in a spot of sunset dining at Sharkey's at Rasa Quay, a seafood restaurant with a casual dining ambience. Or tuck into the scrumptious buffet spread at Silver Shell Café.

I've heard good things about the Scarlet Hotel - it's a very cool boutique hotel, and it's a little bit special.

Otherwise, Raffles is very special and very grand, but you'll certainly pay for it. The Ritz Carlton and the Fullerton are also really rather fab and special.

Swissotel and Holiday Inn are fairly blah but perfectly serviceable.

Have a wonderful time!

Check out Raddisions or Holiday Inn but they are expensive. If you are looking for 4 start hotels Hotel Peninsula Excelsior near Clarke Quay MRT station is good and would fit your budget www.asiatravel.com/singapore/peninsula/factsheet.html
