I pierced my belly and wore heavy jewelry. My skin fell off and I lost the whole. (if you may imagine what happened to me) I had an infection and now I have a scar. It looks like...the infection of ears after piercing...it's like knot, with white and yellow stuff in it. I don't really know how to explain it but I hope you may know.

I went to the doctors and they said there is nothing I can do. It's a scar. It was healed well and I didn't take a good care of it. They said after a while, the color will go lighter and lighter but it won't go away.

My friends said I can pierce it again, its just gonna hurt like hell because all I have is damaged cells/tissues on my belly.

I really wish to pierce it again, and I wonder if anyone of you will know some secret ways to get rid of the scar. Thank you sooo much..

You need to determine what caused this in the first place. I had mine pierced three times, and each time my body rejected the ring, pushing it out until it was barely hanging on. If this is the case, you could pierce it again only to have the same result. The scarring does not go away and there is nothing that can be done. It will eventually heal, and the knot will go away, but it will take some time.....just leave it alone.

I don't know if there's any truth to this, but I've heard that massaging tea tree oil into the scarred area can help reduce the scars. Personally I would recommend a product such as Mederma, which is a gel that's formulated to reduce the redness and bumpiness of scars. You can also just go to CVS or Walgreens and ask a clerk about scar minimizing treatments. If none of those help, consult your doctor about getting a stronger topical treatment; in other words a non-surgical solution to the scar problem. Good luck, and congratulations (about the pregnancy)!

Their are scar cremes out there that help soften the tissue so it is less noticable but only time will truly do anything for it. I wouldn't get a new piercing thru it though, cause it will emphasize the scar instead of highlighting the stomach area.

I have heard that vitamin E helps. I believe there is a cream form. My son was told to try it by a nurse. Good luck.
