I need more information. What do you consider a "modern liberal"? And what's the context involved in assuming they have no common sense? I know plenty of liberals with common sense, and I consider them pretty modern, so I'm not sure what point you're addressing.

Well, historically, the liberals were the ones that welcomed the influence of the French, circulated a pamphlet called "Common Sense" by a fellow named Thomas Paine and rebelled against the status-quo of Mad King George III. The Conservatives, on the other hand, pined for the status-quo and ran away to Canada.

Maybe you're in the wrong country ????

Modern Liberals have no common sense?

They have more common sense than Conservatives,

I believe you are very much confused...

Wasn't it a modern Republican/Conservative who did not have common sense by trying to have sex with Children?

One should challenge your premise. It is not common sense to attack a country that poses not threat to you, to lie about military intelligence to sell the war or to isolate yourself from the world community. Yet the conservatives did so. Liberal is not a dirty word, it is a political philosphy. Being Canadian, we have real Liberals here. Yours are imaginary. Clinton was not Liberal. His policies would sell as right wing policies in Canada.

I happen to think it's conservatives who have no sense. I saw I commercial for a guy running for congress who wanted to fight to "keep our values alive". I'm sorry, but banning marriage between two people who love each other just because they're both men or women, or not allowing a woman on welfare with 6 kids to have an abortion is not in my book of values.

And beofre I get called a baby killer... I am not "Pro-Abortion", I am pro-choice. I would never be able to kill an unborn child, but I believe there are circumstances, and people, who warrant the right to choose.

Because you are looking through an extremely biased conservative mindset. That and your obviously bitter hatred towards liberals clouds your judgment to the point where it can't be trusted or called objective.

common sense
Function: noun
: sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts

Wouldn't say that Cons have ever made a decision based on the above noted definition.

Most Liberals are 30 to 50 years old and still living with their parents.
They plan on getting out and getting a job one of these days.
