Like someone else said, it is the same as a teacher in the public/government system (unless you mean a sunday school or choldren's liturgy teacher, in which case you don't need any qualifications other than being involved in the parish).

However, to get a job in a catholic school you usually need to rpove you are commited to the catholic ethos, and have a reference from your parish priest. To get a reference from your parish priest you would usually need to attend mass on a regular basis, and possibly be involved in other parish activities.

A degree that would guarantee that you could spell simple words like KIND and CATHOLIC.
I went to Catholic school from kindergarten though college.
I also have been a public school teacher for 30 years. Why would anyone give up a lifetime in a career to receive so little in remuneration?

Bachelors Degree in any subject and you can substitute teach anywhere. Bachelors in anything with a minor in Education and you can teach, most school districts prefer a Masters Degree with a minor in Education.

None, actually. Private schools don't require a degree.

However, you likely won't get a job so I would suggest a Bachelors in education.

i've gone to a catholic school my whole life. you do not need a degree but will most likely not get hired without one. u do NOT have to be catholic although u do have to teach religion.
