Hey, an 80's song! It's called by a band by the same name, "Big Country," and was a pretty big hit, should be easy to find.

It's called "Big Country" and it was originally done by *surprise! lol* Big Country. That sadly was pretty much their only hit and the lead singer committed suicide about 5 years ago or so..aparaently he had been a long time alcoholic. Sad...I loved that song. :'(
