I reccomend World of Warcraft. The graphics are great, the cost isn't that bad and there are millions of players, literally. There's something for everyone, RPG game style, PvP and just normal. I personally like PvP best, because then you really feel like you're in a war with horde/alliance. Check it out at www.worldofwarcraft.com
and also catch the season 10 premier of South Park, where the kids save Azeroth for millions of players.
