I yelled at my husband about a week and a half ago - he was trying to spray the garage door with this silicone spray and I was already feeling naseous and lousy from morning sickness, and I could smell the damn thing all the way upstairs. I was just so annoyed. He called me down because he'd gotten the garage door stuck from constantly moving it up and down, and so I came down and yelled at him, 'Why do you have to do that now? Is it SO important?" He yells back at me, "Okay, sorry but you don't have to yell!" I immediately felt bad. I can't stay mad at my husband for long. So I apologized for yelling at him and just said I was feeling cranky and sick and the smell wasn't helping. I pressed the "lock/unlock" button on our garage door (he'd accidently hit it and that's what had caused it to get "stuck"). And then went back upstairs and crawled into bed...:o)
Yelling really doesn't help though. And it really does make me feel bad to yell at my husband because I know it's not necessary. At least not with us. I mean, other than venting anger, it does nothing to solve the situation. My husband and I will try to just talk about any issues we have. We'll get annoyed, but we usually won't literally yell or raise our voices to each other. Whatever it is we just try to get it out in our normal voices.
