I have used it to create 2 $50 loans, and just put $50 more there to try out. Honestly, I can not say much about it. I have gotten one payment back so far, and it is about what I expected. I went with someone with a AA rating and around a 10% interest rate (much better than I could get at a bank). So far so good, but i ahve only been at it for a month.

I signed up with prosper.com. I am still learning the system though, but I heard great things about the company. I think they were featured on one of the news channels.
