I just took a pregnancy test about 10 minutes ago,...well,...one line means no and 2 means yes,...two lines showed up,..but one was lighter than the other,...what does this mean?? Help!! I also took one about 5 days ago and it showed up negative,...I don't know,..I have just been feeling kinda funny.........

Two lines is two lines is two lines honey, congrats on the baby. If you read the instructions they all say it doesn't matter what color the lines are, if they're there, you're pregnant.

I know that most all tests say to read within the time limit. If you read your result within the time limit and you got a 2nd line, then I would read it as a positive. However, if you read it after the time limit, it could just be an evaporation line. No matter the intensity of the color of the line (and make sure there is color - not a grayish color), it is positivel. It just means your HCG level is low and as it doubles every 48-72 hours, your 2nd line will get darker. Some tests are also more sensitive than others. Testing 5 days ago could very well been too early.

You are pregnant!!! Congrats!!! If two lines show, you are pregnant even if one is lighter than the other. Go and get a digital test just to be sure! They are a tad more expensive but they will say pregnant or not pregnant. There are no false positives so you are pregnant. The first one you took was probably to early and you did not have enough hormone in your system yet.

Well in most of the directions on the test that I have taken have said that it didn't matter if one of the lines was darker than another, but if two lines were present that you were pregnant. Refer to the directions on the test and see if it says anything about that. Maybe it is early and there wasn't enough HCG in your urine. If you are still in doubt wait a few days and take another test. Good Luck

Yes you are pregnant. It doesn't matter if one line is lighter than the other, as long as there are two lines then you are expecting! Your hcg levels may a little low and that maybe why the second line was lighter. Congrats!

well chances you are pregnant. if you read the instructions to the preg test, it says no matter how strong or faint the second line is, as long as it is present, that is positive. and even if u took a test 5 days ago and it was neg, only means that it wasnt able to detect the hormone in your urine that means you are preg. to be 100%, see your doctor, and get a blood test. but you are most likely preg. there are rarely false positive with home preg tests. but there are false negs. good luck!!!

if two lines means a positive result and two lines showed up then you should be pregnant honey you have to have the pregnancy hormone HCG in you urine to get a positive and you only get the HCG hormone if your pregnant so congratulations and good luck the fact one line is darker than the other dont matter you still had two lines

Ithink youre pregnant maybe because you took the test too early the first time it came out negative but now it came out positive. Go to a clinic and double check.Thats where youll get the accurate answer.

i would think you are pregnant even though one line was lighter. to get a more accurate reading out of a home test, take one first thing in the morning when you wake up, that is when the preg hormones are the strongest. a blood test given by your ob would be the most accurate of all.
