You are best to replace the cd drive. There may be small pieces still in the drive that could affect performance and damage other cds.

Nothing can be done with that disk. It is not like a magnetic tape, where the cut portion can be glued and used, throw it away. Use a vacuum cleaner and blow air to clean any minute particles of disk, as it may cause drive to malfunction.
For your information: the data on a DVD or CD is written on the bottom side of Top coating (the name part over the top of the disk), if that part erodes, CD/DVD will not run.

About the broken, CD buy a new one and have your PC checked because it might do the same with other CD's

if the cd blow up in the drive you need to check your cpu fan , and replace the cd drive have the pc check up
