Singapore's agriculture scene has changed dramatically since its colonial days. In the early days, gambiar, rubber and other cash crops were grown extensively throughout the island. Coffee was tried but the climate didn't allow the crop to flourish.

These days, Singapore farmers are focused on using technology to create more yield from tiny amounts of land. Processes like aeroponics are used to grow food without the need of much space or soil. Ornamental fish farming, frog farming and poultry are also sustained with technology.

Vietnam on the other hand has a more traditaional agrian culture. Coffee, rice and other labour intensive crops are cultivated. As Vietnam advances, more technology is being used but the level of sophistication is still low.
