Now, I would never hurt anyone, but, if I say something, anything about a bomb or killing or something like that I can get in BIG trouble!! I think my freedom of speech is being taken away. Do you feel that the terrorists had a bigger plan than 911? By that, I mean, a slow deterioration of our freedoms....

No I think freedom of speech is too broad. I dont think it should apply to someone that is threatening someone else. Not do I think it should apply to anyone that wants to deface the flag or a national treasure.

Doesn't that depend on the context of what you say? If you talk about the impact of a bomb, then that is hardly a cause for alarm. But if you talk about a desire to blow up a building and how to make a bomb to do so, that would be raising a red flag of alarm.

Don't forget that all freedom are not absolute.

Now, these are the senators who voted to give illegal
aliens Social Security benefits. Regardless of political party,
these politicians need to be defeated in 2006, 2008 or 2010,
whenever they come up for office. They are grouped by home
state. If a state is not listed, there was no voting
representative.

To answer the Q, I really think the terrorists only planned to kill people and start a holy war.

I doubt the terrorists planned it, it is just an unplanned perk (for them, no one get all huffy calling me a terror supporter!)

I still get sick when I think of that elementary student that got suspended/expelled (I can't remember which) because he pointed a chicken finger at a teacher and said bang.

There was a movie that was right on point with that...it had Maggie Gylenhal, was HBO and I believe it was called "Stripsearch" but I may be wrong, I caught it on a sleepless night ages ago.

You need to grow up. What would happen if you were allowed to say I have a bomb and I'm going to kill you. With freedom comes responsibility. The terrorists do want to destroy our freedom and they will if you don't realize that in times of war certain things must be done to protect you.

McCain - Feingold is a bigger threat to our First Amendment rights than The Patriot Act.

I have a right not to get blown up, too. McCain - Feingold doesn't even pretend to address that.

We won't know until they have vanished...
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Have you been arrested for your posting in here? No you haven't and you won't be if you live in the US. Unless of course you say something threatening to our national security. You are paranoid and talking out of your hat.
