Are A, B and C the sides of a triangle?

2006-10-11 04:44:42 · answer #1 · answered by hawkthree 6 · 0 0

A square plus C square equals B square or
(18 x 18) + (30 X 30) =
(324) + ( 900) =
1234
take the square root of 1234 or 35.12;
or is it opposite over adjacent equals hypotenuse? In that case the answer is .6 but that cant be right can it?

It could be anything as it is expressed as a variable, however, if A and C are acting as an indication, then B would be 24. It is equidistant from both given values. If it is a triangle that we are talking about then B would be worth still be worth 24 (A squared plus B squared equals C squared) unless of course these are the squared values. We really need to know what the question is asking. Good luck.

B=24

You are adding up by 6

30 - 18 = 12

1/2 of 12 = 6

I'm assuming that you're talking about a triangle, and the legnth of its sides. It is really impossible to tell the legnth of B without knowing the angle between A&B.

24"

C^2- A^2 = B^2

are you solving for a right triangle? an irregular triangle? are you given any more info? there is too much info missing for us to help. thats like saying y=1 x=2 z=? you'd have no idea.

It could be anything!

Unless they gave you more guidance that is.

If you add on the same amount each time then B would be 24.
If you multiply by the same amount each time it would be different (an irrational in fact).

Otherwise it could be your favourite number.

There is no answer...not until you have an equation to go with those values. Everyone who gave you an answer is either playing mind games with you or REALLY needs to go back to school.

Are we talking triangles here?
Or just degrees of frustration...
