I belive in the evolution of man and animals. I'm wanting to know if this is it or will things change for us in the future. It maybe a stupid question but someone once said the only stupid question is the one not asked.

All living organisms are in the process of evolving. It just takes a very long time to notice major changes.

(1) clearly not all animals on earth evolved from dinosaurs. Small mammals, for example, co-existed dinosaurs, and we evolved from those. Insects already existed. Bacteria also. and so on

(2) are animals still evolving? sure they are. Lots of small things are happening all the time, a bird species' beak becomes a bit larger, such things. Or polar bear getting smaller - part of it is just less to eat, this is not evolution, but w less food clearly bears whose genes called for a smaller adult size, will be advantaged, and so over a few generations, the species will have become smaller. there is a famour example where a butterfly had whitish wings to hide on trees with a light bark. however in an area polluted by industrial smoke, soon the (rare) darker coloured animals had an advantage in that birds didn't see them, and in that particular area, grey became the dominant colour for the species

(3) are we, human beings, still evolving? Not sure. Take eyesight. In times of low civilisation, poor eyesight dooms you to die of hunger because you can't hunt / can't pick fruit, and even if the others are good enough to let you have minimal food, it is quite unlikely that any woman will want to make with you, given that you're such a loser. So the species evolves towards good eyesight. But in modern times where glasses are readily available to all, and where often spectacles wearers have higher incomes, they will tend to have more children. So the species, in some richer regions, will possibly "evolve" towards poor eyesight (we're seeing this, with 2/3rds of the population needing glasses in South Korea). But by some measures, this is really a regression in evolution.

Hope this helps

Most animals that evolved from dinosaurs became extinct except birds. Animals are evolving but evolution is a slow process relative to our life span so we just don't notice it. I am sure that we are changing though I don't think anyone can say exactly how. Our resistance to certain diseases is certainly increasing since some less resistant people die from disease. There may be more subtle evolution going on also. Perhaps certain races are more successful at procreating. Perhaps certain features from certain races will become dominant since our genes are spreading and mixing throughout humanity like never before. This would presumably result in thier genes and particular characteristics becoming more dominant. It is a slow process.

All the animals on earth DID NOT evolve from dinosaurs.
You were given very bad information.

Oh....and we are still evolving. Because the changes occur very slowly, over hundreds or thousands of years, you'll never see it in your lifetime.

Yes, evolution still continues. I, myself, am a "evolved" human -- I was born with NO wisdom teeth and no ability to have them, which is an evolutionary jump.

On the other hand, I am also a throwback -- I was born with an extra bone in my coccyx, which is a throwback to when we had tails!!

So, if I breed true, my children may also continue this strain of "different" human characteristics.

All animals evolved from other forms. Not all animals evolved from dinosaurs - dinosaurs did give us birds. Humans evolved from primative primates who came from tree dwelling mammals who came from.. on and on..

Okay so is everything still evolving? Yes, though everything evolves so slowly that we cannot perceive of it during our lifetimes. These things take millions of years. Some things, like turtles and roaches are evolving very, very, slowly, while other things are evolving slowly.

They are still evolving, but in the course of your natural life expectancy, don't expect to see much change. Millions of years is a long, long time.

Watch the movie "Fantasia" sometime. It's lovely. One segment is a fabulous cartoon, but gorgeous version of how life emerges and changes in these mesmerizing waves throughout time, up until the dinosaurs die off.

i believe they are evolving as the earth changes, it's just that the process is so slow and gradual that we don't see exactly the changes. It's just a thought, you can do a research to make sure.

Animals (and people) are still evolving.
