Emotional. Sure.
I used to be with someone and all I can remember about him is what he didn't like about me.
- I was too liberal in my political views
- too conservative in my life choices
- too friendly to his friends
- too affectionate yet somehow a prude
- too ethical (wouldn't do his homework)
- yet somehow deceitful (didn't tell him when my roomate went home on the weekends)
- too sweet
Until this day, I don't know why he spent time with me. Maybe it was all about attraction. But that man made me feel small.
Finally, one day we were walking from one class to the next and he was cutting on me about something and I just said, "You don't even like me. I think we are done." I turned around and took a different route to class. I think I heard hims day "Bye b," but I never had to kiss his hateful mouth again.

Yes and I think the emotional scars are the hardest to deal with because no one else sees them or understands what it is like unless they have been there too. Even when he was physically abusive it left emotional scars and was not actually physically scarring but still hurt inside. To have someone who said they loved you and would never hurt you treat you like that hurts more than I can even express in words. I am starting to heal since separating from him but it's hard when you still have to have contact....take care

No one can go through life totally unscathed, but once a relationship gets either physically or mentally abusive then that's the time to move on. It takes a lot of strength but it's the right course of action to take. I refuse to let anyone who has bullied me affect the rest of my life, I am not going to let anyone spoil the rest of my life
