I see that it's becoming somewhat of a trend and I just wanted to know. Personally, I don't wear one and I don't think it would be wise to.

Hey! I'm Indian. Bindi's are so much fun. Traditionally, they are worn on the forhead, a little above the point were your eyebrows were to meet if they were bushy enough.
But I like to wear the single silver ones each on my nails. Thats after I put on a nice color polish. And to keep thebindi's there, I top it off with a transparent nail coat.

I also love to wear them at ethnic partys at the outer corners of my eyes. Same, one stone silver bindi's. One on each side.

Be creative, you'll surely be able to come up with some more!!

Good Luck!

Thats ridiculous baby sweet why would indians take offence to that! It's worn between the eyebrows just slighly higher. You can buy lots of decorative bindis these days in all sorts of ethnic designs. During festivals, weddings etc they decorate the whole top of the eyebrows with little dots on both sides. I think women look really beautiful with them so go ahead and wear them.

Unless your East Indian, I wouldn't suggest wearing it. They take great offence to it as it has a special meaning to their culture. Since you're asking, here's a link with more information about it

Don't they go between your eyes, where your 'third eye' is? I believe its a Hindu religious symbol.
