You can sync Dark Side of the Moon with The Wizard of Oz. Anybody who says that it doesn't work, obviously didn't do it right. Money is the first song on the B side of the original album, and it starts exactly when the movie switches to color. Coincidence? The Munchkins are dancing to Us and Them. The camera keeps switching from Dorothy to the Munchkins exactly with the words. Get the exact instructions off of the numerous websites that have them and watch for yourself. Just go here, and read for yourself

I've heard that you can sync up Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz AND I've seen it done, but Pink Floyd says it's just incidental. A lot of other people think differently....

You start the Dark Side of the Moon CD on the second roar of the lion in the MGM logo at the beginning of Wizard of Oz. It syncs up with the movie and is good for a few laughs, like Munchkins dancing to the tune Money.

Nothing that I've ever heard and I am a Floyd aficionado. Why- what have you heard?
Some of the songs reference the late founder Syd Barrett who was in the nut house after doing too much acid in the 60's. The band was named after one of his favorite albums by Pink Anderson and the Floyd Council.... thus Pink Floyd. But the Wiz? Don't know that reference.

The phrase "dark side of the moon" is often referenced as the emotion sadness, evil or break down.

Mythological speaking it refers to death, waning and sorrow.

Many literary types use that in reference to "deep thought" over a serious "dark" issue.

Wonderful album- I have seen Pink Floyd in concert 5 times and they are seamless and great.

If you are stoned enough you get a feeling that the songs line up with the story of "The Wizzard of Oz." A large dose of LSD or pot is needed to get this effect.

The band says it is just that a drugged out fantasy.

If you start the CD right at the 3rd Lion's roar at the begining of the movie, it flows nicely with the movie.

It's kind of cool to watch.
