Does anyone think that N.Korea may launch a nuclear warhead on a missile against the US?
Does anyone think that Japan doesn't have the ability to take out any incoming missile that threatens it?
Is S.Korea without defences against attack? OK they may be at very short notice.
Finally is Geaorge Dubya overstating the whole thing?

Truthfully I don't think that the US has anything to fear from N.Korea. Japan on the other hand seems to be a bigger enemy of N.Korea than S.Korea and I can understand their nervousness. Despite the Japanese non-aggression policy I wouldn't be surprised to see them go into N.Korea if Japan was attacked

N. Korea probably couldn't hit the US yet. The test they did was really not successful. The bomb only measured at 1/4th the strength they thought they'd get but they will eventually get one right. They are a huge threat since they said sanctions against them would mean war against the US. And they only focus on the United States even though the entire world condemns them. They want war with us...not the other way around. President Bush is not overstating anything.

A possible Nkorean threat is just being stirred up by the media, there is no real threat - for the moment.

How do I know?

Experience from the days of the "cold war":

According to Russian strategists, preparations for a world war cannot be hidden. After all, nuclear war isn't something you decide on Tuesday morning and initiate on the following Friday afternoon. Such a war requires intensive planning and preparation over a period of months and years. The destructive effects of nuclear weapons cannot be otherwise mitigated.

Therefore, special tasks must be carried out to assure post-war recovery, and for the exploitation of what Russian strategists call "nuclear rocket supremacy."
For example, an attacker must quietly move those key factories needed for surving counter strikes to secret underground locations.
An attacker must also stockpile strategic supplies, raw materials, food, fuel, and machine tools for rebuilding vital industries. In fact, the most dramatic advanced measures would have to appear in open press reports.
The Russian generals believe that only an extensive disinformation campaign could mask such preparations. If factories are to be moved, a benign explanation must be offered. If troops are mobilized, if security is to be increased at strategic facilities, a phony internal crisis must be presented as the root cause.

So far theres nothing of this happening in Nkorea
-so dont be worried - for now!

America has a lot to fear from north Korea they're hardly on friendly terms and are even saying that they need to defend them selves against the US why are so many Americans deluding themselves that there s no danger Russia Japan China and the rest of the world can see it is real they are capable and according to every where else the test didn`t fail and they`re already planning more tests i can`t understand the mentality were they`re so convinced that what has happened in Iraq was right when even they`re own government has admitted that Iraq was no threat until the invasion but at the same time delude themselves over something so dangerous and real you can`t compare a suicide bomber to a nuclear weapon people in Japan are seeing the consequences of the last one to This day

If N/Korea attacked Japan, then Japan would have every reason to attack them back. With so many japanese people in the US and they are allies, then the US would kick back at N/Korea too. They could easily arm S/Korea and use the land to fight N/Korea.

Why does N/Korea feel threatened by the outside world?

Sounds as if they have a dictator they would be better off without. A royal family to become extinct.

If I was S/Korea I would want protection, if that means nuclear then it would match their power. It's a game of chess.

Firstly it is only alleged that N.Korea tested a nuclear weapon
Secondly if they did, something went wrong. They stated they would be testing a weapon with a 10 kiloton yield. From the seismic shock that occured,it is estimated the explosion was a half kiloton yield.
Thirdly having the capability to explode a nucler device is not the same as having the capability to launch one.

They probably do have the capability and if China keeps making nice with NKorea just because they are afraid of refugees, even at the cost of having a nuclear armed psychopathic dictator, then it will be China's fault they let NKorea proliferate Nuclear weapons. If they don't have the capability right now, they are getting it, fast.
We should be worried about this people.

You will not be able to blame Bush on this one. Bipartisan appeasment of this country has been going on a long time.
you should know about what is going on in that country.

It's North Korea that is overstating the issue. Their last missile test was a failure and it is now being said that the nuclear test either failed or was an explosion caused by conventional explosives. It is bluster on North Korea's part.

China many times maintains to be out of international affairs so this could be enormously no longer likely. it truly is my concept that one in each of China's destiny formidable objectives is to a minimum of sooner or later unite all Asian international locations decrease than their management, whether it truly is by potential of rigidity or financial effect or a mix of the two. whether, one small situation, their protection rigidity potential and effect isn't any the place close to that of the US and that they comprehend this. whether you took each and all the defense force of the international and blended them it nonetheless does no longer equivalent the protection rigidity would the US has so attacking Japan could be suicide. Plus, they're surrounded by potential of US protection rigidity bases in critical Asian, Japan, and S. Korea just to call some. China relies upon on extra effective than a million/2 of it truly is exports to the US industry and subsequently a million/2 of China could be unemployed if the US stopped importing products. China relies upon on the U.S. to maintain a healthful industry for chinese language products so attacking Japan could spark off a sequence reaction that could be suicide.

No, but they can provoke closer neighbours to pre-empty a strike. This in turn could draw the other Super powers to react in such a way that they unwittingly get drawn in. Or you can ask Alaister Cambel to draw up a thesis for Japan then they don't need an excuse to hold back!!!

Did you watch the Oprah episode with Lisa Ling? She went into Korea and it was so horrible there. Koreans in Korea hate Americans and they are raised to hate Americans. The warhead would probably hit Alaska, but as time goes by, they will become more advanced, it all sound real bad to me. May God be with us all.
