the nielson ratings happened to smith.

Not enough ratings caused cbs to be jumpy and cancel it. They didnt want to invest in something that wasnt a number one show. Pity because most shows cant be number one and need a few weeks to gain a following.
They only see the money, and time is money to them.

MSNBC reported last Friday (10/06/06) that Smith was the first show of the new season to be cancelled. The article stated that network executives hesitated to use the word "cancelled", but stated that it had been pulled and would be replaced temporarily with reruns of CSI.

It's all about the ratings...If you don't have it...good-bye.
There seems to be a lot of moving around this season...There doesn't seem to be many good ones...I have to say with the exception of SHARK
