I haven't had any real boyfriend in any shape, size, or form. And I do feel like a freak until I come across your question. I still feel a bit freak-ish but not so much as before. I hope you realise that there is at least one more person on Earth who has not had a real boyfriend.
*As I answer this, I realise the incredulity of the importance of having a boyfriend. 'there is at least one more person on Earth who has not had a real boyfriend.' -- This sentence sounds like we have this terrible disease and that it's great to find one more person with this disease because that means we're not the only ones and also then... we could build a support network, I suppose. GWB - gals without boyfriends. :)

I was in third grade. A boy gave me a ring he got out of a gumball machine. A week later he threw a rock at me on the playground and hit me in the ankle. When I got home I took his ring and buried it in the front yard. The next day he asked for his ring back and I told him I buried it and he would never get it back. My next one wasn't until I was 17. I felt pretty much like a freak during my entire youth. It took years of bad relationships before I finally sorted out what kind of man was best for me, and I just got married for the first time at age 55. Just because others are with "loads" doesn't mean they are with "Mr. Rights", so don't stress over it too much. Believe me, when the time is right, it will happen, and trying harder doesn't make it happen. The important thing is to find people who like to do the same things you like to do. Friends first, then lovers later. It seems to work better that way. The friendship will carry you through hard times. Good luck and enjoy life!

I was 14, he was 18, and we were together for 6 1/2 years. I know a lot of girls who don't have a "real" boyfriend until college. Don't sweat it, and definitly don't force it or you'll end up with the wrong guy! Personally, I think most of High School would have been more fun without a boyfriend!

First real committed relationship that was about love as opposed to games started when I was 21, still going strong 5 years later. There's nothing freaky about you, honey, this isn't a race.

I was 19. Don't feel like a freak, you're probably better off without a boyfriend anyway.

i was 17 when i had my first real boyfriend, i had kissed someone when i was 14. the kiss was through playing a game of dare also so i'm sure it would've been later than that if not.
