I lived it for 20 years... Things were better then...Kids would go out and play and entertain themselves... We only had 2 tv channels and there was always something good on to watch...
Computers have made things easier on our jobs but on the down side they have also cut out the need for a lot of jobs..
Life without cable or personal computers is not bad... It is really much better

I can't but I'm sure your parents/grandparents (depending on how old they are) can. Why not ask them about it? You see, I live on the computer and I love cable TV! I couldn't do without it!

Yes I can imagine that... In fact I have been in that same situation. However that is why there are books, magazines, studybooks etc... Instead of waisting your time whining, blahblahblahblahblah, go do yourself a favor and read your book... trust me, it will pay in the long run.
Anyways, haven't you heard of a group of people / religion : Amish, just imagine how hard is it for them... NO TV, COMPUTER, AND EVEN WORST... NO ELECTRICITY... So don't take it for granted that you don't have tv and computer...

I've lived in Korea for three years and I still haven't bought a TV-I don't want one. I've only had my computer for less than a year...
Heh, Korea...Land of the Morning PC bang (it's something like an internet cafe, but with shrimp chips and ramen instead of the cafe).

Not only can I imagine it - I LIVED it!
I even WALKED to school in the rain, snow, sleet, hot sun...
My first TV was in black & white! We didn't have a telephone until I was 2 years old.
I built my first computer - the Altair in 1974.

When I was a kid, there weren't any computers, and the TV only went to channel 13. Yes I can.

Yes and if that happened, things would probably be very different right now. Probably better.
