I didn't actually see a ghost but I had a really strange experience when I was 18, I was working as a chef in a pub, the kitchen was upstairs with a bell boy lift connecting it to the small downstairs kitchen (the food went down on the lift for the waitresses to collect) ... anyway ... one evening we were bringing the till box up in the lift and the lift got stuck half way, after about 10 mins of us trying from upstairs and downstairs the lift finally freed itself, but when it reached the top the till box was on it's side. Then another time we had a pepper pot slide across the counter top, and another time a glass flew off a shelf downstairs and smashed just infront of the landlady.

I would like to believe there are reasonable explainations for this, but I quit my job because I was too freaked out to go back, it was a scary place.

I'm 32 now and still can't explain it, yeah there probably is another explaination, but I didn't find one.

Skeptics, just because you haven't seen a ghost doesn't mean that ghosts don't exist. Just because a blind man can't see the colour green doesn't mean that grass suddenly hasn't got a colour.

Eyewitness accounts of ghostly sightings from people who are otherwise extremely reliable and dependable have been recorded all over the world, in many eras of human history. Often, there have been many different explanations for what they were, but the commonest explanation is that some subtle remnant of the departed's personality lingers in this world while the rest either dissolves or moves on, depending on whatever belief system is correct.

There have been members of my family who have witnessed ghosts. ne of my sisters has; my late paternal grandmother has; my mother witnessed a Black Dog sighting one night coming home when she was a girl; and I, personally, have encountered Shadow People, a mysterious force which pushed me downstairs when I was a child, and at one time a skeletal figure looming over me, almost as if choosing me for something.

So yes ... I can be happy to believe that people have, indeed, seen ghosts.

No - I have never seen a ghost. But there have been times - and not just when I've been alone - when I have sensed the presence of someone or something else I could not explain. We are usually frightened by what we don't understand - and my response has always been one of fear. I have had pets who pricked up their ears and became alert at exactly the same moment as I did - and seemed to experience the same feelings of uneasiness. Occasionally these times have been accompanied by a chill in the air and I am at a loss to explain what it all means. I think I would cark it if I actually saw something....as in a GHOST!

this is one of those puzzles that is completely impossible to answer definitivley one way or the other. What one person sees as being 'real' someone else may not. Often two people seeing the same thing, but see it differently.
I have seen video that perports to show ghosts, I think it's a trick of the light - someone else may think it's a ghost! who's to say who is right. Trust your own eyes and go with that!

Have felt the presence though. I was in a Phuket Hotel and I didn't know that the Tsunami actually hit this particular hotel. The evening that I checked in, i felt something watching me at the corner of the room and moving about and i was terrified that I changed to another room the next morning. After that, it was fine. I found out later that the hotel was actually hit badly and the chalet that I stayed in was refurbished.

I've had several experiences with seeing ghosts...I've also walked into a resturant and asked someone if they could see the elderly gentleman sitting on the stairs that was blocked off to customers...the waiter said... I don't see anyone...But he looked right at me and nodded his head!

Yes. I've seen several. One in particular. We were at a school dance and my friends were skidooing over, they were taking forever to get there and we were getting worried. My friend walked in and told me he had driven his skidoo into the river. They were supposed to come the other way but had changed their minds 'cause they were late and he was the first to cross. I was telling him how glad I was that he made it out when my gf tapped me on the shoulder and told me he drowned about hour ago. There is no other way to explain how I knew except that I spoke with him.
