I think it helps me more just to find one person who says "OMG, I feel exactly the same way, I thought I was the only one." It really makes me happy when one of my questions (or answers) does that for somebody else. Is anybody's main reason for hanging out here to find people who "get" you?

Of course I select people who have similar views as me for the "best answer" because I too am looking for some sort of justification that my "idea, or thought" has some validity. However, I am not narrow minded, if someone has a good point and conveys it in a clear concise way that I can understand, perhaps, just maybe I'll change my mind. I'm opinionated, but not closed to other differences of opinion.

no, i seek to understand those who disagree. i don't, at this point in my life maybe, being 45, feel the need to have another person 'get' me or feel the same way as i do.
