With falling ratings, her broadcast came in third last week, behind NBC and ABC. Of course, American network news is the last place I go to learn about what is really happening in the world.

She's more about herself than the news. I remember her from the 9/11 aftermath and she was almost giddy to be reporting such a big story.

of course... so where do you find your unbiased, all truthful news?

Personally, I think she's a sell out and I haven't watch her a single time since she went to CBS. I'm sure she was offered a significant pay raise, as well, like she wasn't making enough money at the Today Show. I mean really, how much money do you really NEED. She accomplished a lot while at the Today Show; colon cancer awareness for one. Do you think she could spend so much air time doing that on the CBS news. I don't think so. Do you think she'll get to go to every Olympics and hang out with the athletes for days. I don't think so.
Basically, she had it made. I don't know what she thinks she has to prove at this point.

i guess her role on the evening news is something we're not accustomed to... she had a quirky side while on the today show which i loved... i loved her interaction with the co-hosts and we got to see the fun side of her personality, now it's more of a serious role. i don't think she's doing that bad of a job, it's just that we're not used to her in that capacity.

i agree though, she might not have what it takes to move cbs to the front-runner of the newscasts... but who the heck cares... it's just a news programme!
