On super mario 3: the letter of the princess?

In one of her letters, she askes if you has found a wistle at the end of world 3. I can understand if it was ment for world 2...but I was just wondering?


I know there is one at the end sector 1-3 and one at the fortress at grass world and one at the end of desert land, but to be in world three, where is it?

ermm....I think I had already mention one in desert land...

the whistle as you know lets you bypass worlds and skip some
to get farhter in the game, in level 2 theres one hidden inthe back
of the desert level, if you fight one of the hammer bros, you;; get a prize of hammer and you use that to break the block to get you
in the back of the world, beyond the castle, you will have to fight
another hammer bro, but the prize is the whistle
