It sounds like you have positional vertigo. This disorder has to do with crystals that float in the fluid of your inner ear. These crystals can get displaced and can cause dizziness. The treatment to fix this is very quick and easy. It is also very easy to diagnose this problem. Usually you would see an ENT, neurologist or audiologist for balance testing. They do this by placing googles on your eyes, lying you back then rolling your head to one side and then the other. They can tell by your eye movements if you have positional vertigo, where the crystals are and if they are displaced. They can also do head posititioning treatments to put the crystals back into the right place. But, if you don't have positional vertigo, they can do full balance testing and tell you if you have a vestibular/balance disorder. If you do have positional vertigo, the treatments may initially make you feel a little sick but you will get better very quickly afterwards. Most of our patients don't have problems again after a treatment! Please do not look this up on the internet and try to reposition the crystals yourself, you could move them even more out of place and make yourself sicker. Good luck to you, I hope you feel better soon!

It could be low blood pressure or an inner ear problem. I suffered from vertigo for years (chronic labyrinthitus), which meant that when I got up first thing in the morning, the sudden change in position would quite often trrigger a dizzy spell which sometimes lasted for days. If you get bad motion sickness or get sensations of movement when sitting down watching the television etc you might want to mention that to the dr as well, so he can check that your balance mechanims aren't the cause.

it is some times called vertigo most of the time it is an inner ear infection and most of the time it does not go away on it's own you really need to go see a doctor it can be very serious if left untreated. it can also be many other things that only an emanation can determent. hope you get better. I have had vertigo for 2years and it is caused from nerves in my brain it is a real pain in the *** to say the least I'm just now somewhat getting used to it

I had the same problem. On Christmas, 2005, I started taking Natren's pro biotics. I do not feel dizzy at all anymore, and do not see black spots. People who take pro biotics get sick 70% less. It works, it really really does.

It could be either high blood pressure, low blood pressure, something to do with your sinuses(nose) , enemic so may need some iron or you may just get up to quickily. I think you should go to the doctors to have your blood pressure done or even the nurse will see you at the surgery to do this.

Perhaps low blood pressure. In any case, if it's too frequent, see a dr.
