How can I tell how much hard drive space I have left on my laptop. Me being a computer geek, I should know, but sadly I don't.

Open "My Computer". Right-click on the drive you want to know about(C:, D:, etc) and choose properties. It will bring up a dialogue that tells you how much used/available space you have on that drive.

Start > My computer > Hover over c: drive and a bubble will tell you how much free space. Or right-click the c: drive and select system information

open mycomputer icon right click on the hard drive then click on properties
