I received one once which told me of one person who sent it on and won big at the races. Another lost his copy and lost his job and was robbed. When he found it again six months later he immediately sent it on and got a new and better job.
But, if the letter has been copied word for word and sent on, sometimes on the same day, how do we know what happened to someone afterwards? Think about it - can you add to the letter about the good fortune you received for sending the letter, before you sent the letter? Impossible. Even more impossible to do so six months down the line.
Chain letters are a lie and a scam, and they are based on faulty logic and succeed only through other people's gullibility.

No they are not real.. I mean the chain letter is self is real, because its being read, but if it tells you something bad will happen if you don't forward it, that part isn't real... An emailed letter has nothing to do with real life, and deleting it will have no affect on your life. I think chain letters are stupid and I always delete them.

First of all, chain letters are a nuisance. They aren't real because it was originated by someone. It won't bring you any kind of fortune and in today's internet world, they are used as advertisement for some business entity. So, next time you see one, hit the "delete" key.

They're real, in the sense that people make them up, write them and send them around.
They have no Power over the events of anyone's life--only the power that YOU grant them.
The worst thing that they can do is to cause you to waste yor time and a bunch of stamps sending damn letters out.
Also your friends will stiop talking to you if you send the letters to them.

No, they are not. They are based in superstition & have no power at all except that which a person gives over in their own mind.
