He would have to set up your computer specifically to let his computer access it. If he has access to both computers he could do something like that much easier. You need a firewall running all the time to keep people all around the world from accessing your computer. Windows Firewall comes on your computer, or there's a good free one called ZoneAlarm Free.

Try to find some security software that will thwart the most obvious attacks. It may or may not be free. There's a lot of software at www.download.com to start out. There's a basic spy software called a keylogger, which is basically like a notepad which jots down everything you type into your computer; there's probably free software to check for those. [lightbulb] As a matter of fact, you could use a keylogger to your advantage to see if he's messing with your computer. Make sure you set it up so he won't find it though.

If you do a search there for "keylogger" on download.com you'll see some programs that your boyfriend may possibly be using to spy on you too. If you find out he's using something like that, you can do the same thing to him. Nothing like some 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander'. But, you have to be very responsible with stuff like this.

How do you know he's not reading your question or the answers here?
You need a firewall installed on your PC, which may be difficult if you're on a large network at an office.
Is there anti-virus and anti-malware software installed on your PC? Those should take care of any spying software or keystroke monitors he may have installed on your PC.
A little trust would be real helpful here as well...

Install a firewall and any latest Antivirus on your system.
Disable, "File and Printer Sharing"
by Double click on Connection Icon and then Properties and then UNCHECK that option.
if he is not on server, he wont be able to spy on you.

It sounds like your problem isn't with spying but with trust. Why don't you and your boyfriend have a talk and get things settled between you? If you don't have trust, you have NOTHING!

Are you doing things you shouldn't be doing? Because it sounds like he doesn't trust you or like you are trying to hide something.
