I'm trying to decide if he's worth hanging on to, or if he's gonna have a quiet/unproductive (fantasy) year.

I think it depends on the depth of receivers in the league. If you have a deep league, I would say keep him, but I really don't think he's worthy enough to start most weeks (depending on who else you have). I would not just outright dump him but keep him on the bench. I am sure he is probably better than whoever's available on the waiver wire.

This year I really don't see him getting nearly as many touches or looks as in previous years simply because Seattle has a deep receiving corps. I think once Shaun Alexander gets healthy, they will not be throwing the ball as much, and then if they are leading games in the end, they will run more than they throw, lessening his chance to be as much of a playmaker.

If you are in a keeper league, you may consider keeping him since he could emerge as a starter next year, and I think only the starting receivers in Seattle are worth playing--the others will have inconsistent numbers on a week-to-week basis.

Trade him!

People seem to "ooh" and "ahh" over him, but he is seriously overrated. He's never had a 1000 yard season! (Close last year). His best season was what, 5 TDs?

He's now on a team with at least 3 other legitimate WRs, plus J. Stevens and Shaun Alexander are returning. There's not enough TDs to go around.

Trade him! Chad Johnson has underperformed this year. Someone might unload him cheap. Or, aim high and go for Marvin Harrison. People always give up on him too early before he blows up.

To answer your question, he will indeed have a quit, inconsistent year.

Seattle has a tremendous receiving corp with Branch, Burleson, Engram, and Jackson not to mention Stevens when he gets healthy. Branch is a great receiver and once he comes more accustomed to the offense in Seattle he should do ok. I would say to hold onto him depending on how many teams your fantasy league has and how many receivers are on each team. He will put up numbers, not like he did in New England, but we are talking 1000 yard receiver and Super Bowl MVP. He can still get it done.

Try to trade him maybe in a two for one deal. Seattle has too many half decent recievers and no standouts to the ball gets spread around a lot. With the return of Jeremy Stevens at TE this week you will also see the Red Zone throws going to him much more, leaving only the long balls for the WRs.

He's on my fantasy team too. I think once he learns the offense he should be a good fantasy option at receiver. Holmgren loves putting the ball in the air and I think Branch will quickly become one of Hasselback's favorite targets by the middle of the season.

I hate to say it, but dump him. He actually has never had a season with 1000 yrds. and he's going to get lost in the shuffle a lot more than he would have in New England. I'm thinking he's going to have an underwhelming year in regards to fantasy football.
