I know the answer to this, but I'm curious who can correctly answer this. How did he get the name Cat Stevens? If there's no correct answers, I'll give the answer out later.

I know he started with the name Steve Adams...... recorded a song called I love my Dog ......and the record company changed his name to Cat Stevens.......dont understand the why...................
