Never wear sandals to the office. They are meant to be worn on a dock by a lake not by the copier machine.
Wear dressy casel with a nice pair of Oxfords. Be professional not a surfer dude.

I would start the first week or so by dressing very conservatively to get the vibe of the office...if you're really married to you sandals, wear regular closed-toe shoes to work and bring the sandals to drive home in or wear afterwards.

If you have any desire to move ahead in your job, you should dress in a way that shows you're serious about what you're doing. You don't have to look too buttoned-up, but look professional and stay focused on your job. I love sandals, too, but there's a time and a place!

I wouldn't if you are trying to make a good impression. You need to be serious and show that you are totally focused in your job. when your boss sees that he/she will be more likely to give you a bonus or raise, or at least compliment you on your dedication

I would say NO. However....look at your co-workers and see if they are wearing sandals and how do people percieve them. If that's ok with you, then you probably can get away with it.
