I am happy with my current job but the new job is paying more money

The 15,000 will throw into a higher tax bracket. You might want to check out what your take home after taxes will be, and whether it is worth leaving a job that you know you enjoy and taking a job that gives you more money but you may not like at all. Personally I think all the money in the world doesn't make up for being discontent, unchallenged and basically miserable. If your current job satisfies you, keep it. If you do a good job, you'll reap the benefits.

I would say yes, especially if you need the money. If the money makes no difference and you would be miserable at your job than no. Go or stay whereever you are happy. Is the extra money worth you being unhappy? Or is this a job you could be happy with too? Answer these questions and weigh out the good points and the bad points, base your answer on the side that is more positive.

I did. Just about every job i've left has been for money. That's the way we move up. I can understand that you're "happy with your job" but remember -- we work to Live, not live to work!

$15,000 a year is an additional $288 a week, which is a extra $7.20 per hour -- that ain't chump change, my friend!

Hell yeah! If you don't, I'll take the job!
Or if you are completely happy with the company you are currently with, you could let them know of the offer you are considering. They may feel some 'motivation' to match the salary being offered if they really want to keep you.

It depends, would this job be worth the extra money? If you are going to hate the new job, then that's something to consider. If you will not like it AS much, but it will still be a good job, then you may want to take it.

If it's just monetary gain your after check if your hitting another tax bracket . It sounds good but something in my head sent off warning bells .I take it you will be getting all the same benefits and conditions as your current job . Any indications given about advancement opportunities ? Is it a larger or smaller than your current company ?

If you are happy with your current job AND your current salary, stay.

Jobs that make you happy are VERY hard to find.

Yeah, as long as it is legal !! No seriously, only change jobs if you think you will like the new job. More money is nice, but if you don't like your job, it is not worth it.
