Louis Vuitton are manufactured in the US, France, and Spain. Louis Vuitton is a french designer and his stuff is all manufactured in workshops located in the above countries. There are tons of retailers all over the world, and if you want an authentic Louis Vuitton then I would try one of the retailers in your area Saks usually has the best selection other than the Louis Vuitton Stores themselves. Hope this helps. There are links below to help you determine if the bag is fake.

The real Louis Vuittons made in France. The fakes made in China and Taiwan. They are easy to distinguish - the brown leather straps on real ones get darker with age, the fake ones - don't.

"Yes" its real, because, I have a "Replica" Louis Vuitton and when my daughter bought it for me, she told me to "Hush" about it, and never told me why.. So, I figured it out, from friends.. Its illegal to make "Replica's" with someone else's name on it.. But, my Louis Vuitton doesn't have his name on it, just his initials all over the bag, in bright colorful letters!! Mine, doesn't say, what yours says: "At All"...So, you've got the "Real-Deal" and for all you know, they've been selling them in America for years!! The "80s" seem like antique days to you, but, not to me! They simply seem like just yesterday I gave birth to my 25 year old daughter, and my 20 year old son, in 1980, & 1986.. So, its quite possible, she either got it in like "Beverly-Hills" shopping, or went to Europe on vacation back, in the "80s".. You just never know, but, I would definately keep those, because, they will only "Appreciate" as the years go by! And being that their from the "80s" their not even considered "Antiques" just yet...When my kids are in their 30s, and 40s, you might want to see someone to get them appraised, for their "Value" until then, I'd place them in a very nice, "Cedar Chest, so they can remain NICE!! Have fun, knowing you own, the "Real McCoy!!" Smile!!!
