I think the best thing to do when you have to much on your mind is to have a shrt break not thinking about it.
write it all down, put it to the back of your mind and do something you realy like.
come back to what youve written and try to organize it into some kind of rota that you can go through. Give time to each thing, and dont go thinking about other things during that given time.
hope this helped.

Oh man, don't I know that feeling! It's 'be here, do this, do that, sign this, fill in that, do this random piece of work, blah blah blah'.
The best thing to do is make a list every night of the things you have to do tomorrow. List making empties the mind. Keep a diary. And if you can. have a wall planner with all the important dates on it so that it's in front of you. Make sure all your notes are organised too. Poly pockets and dividers are a must :-)
I'm juggling uni and a child, it's not even funny!

First, take a few deep breaths and try to relax a bit. Next write down all the things swirling around in your mind. Things you need to do, this project due in this class/how do to it. You get the idea. Once its all on paper, then prioritise it in order of importance or due dates. Once you see it on paper, its easier to comprehend and worry only about the most recent one to be dealt with. It clears your mind a bit if only because you aren't trying to remember everything and sort it all out at the same time.
Hope this helps you!

I am also a student and there are times i feel my head is going to explode so I take a few minutes to kick back and play on line games or if I am unable to do that I go through a similar rhythmic chant like the colors in order in the rainbow. Something that doesn't take much thought, but diverts my thought process.

Since your work load can only be resolved by your one single brain, you can only handle one subject at a time.
Make a list of tasks.
Code them according to their individual need
Select one main task and complete all its sub items before moving on to a different task.
Colour code their priority order.
You can go further now if you identify a need from a want, and do now or do later.
Good luck it's all new to you and you will succeed.
The Difference?
You might 'want' something but do you 'need' it to progress?
The subject matter is called, 'Managing time and resources'

Find a large open space eg: A park, go there on a clear night find a spot with as little light pollution as possible.
Lay down pick a cluster of stars to watch and relax.

try a simple meditation exercise. lie flat on the floor with you hands by your side, palms facing upwards. put a thin pillow/cussion under you head. lie for 10 minutes with your eyes closed and think of nothing. if thoughts creep into your head, banish them and concentrate on a simple colour. i used to do this, i got it form a yoga book. it's helpful to know also that doing this for 10 minutes is the equivalent of getting 8 hours sleep. so if you've had a late night (as most students tend to do) try this....
hope it works for you. don't feel daft doing it coz it really does work :-)

I play video games for an hour or so. I have 5 classes this semester in the CIS field and its pretty difficult. But, a good half hour to an hour of murdering and killing in a game makes me feel refreshed.

Taking a good walk outside, if possible, works for me. Otherwise, I just put everything aside and go in kitchen and cook something, since that is practically a hobby of mine. Just anything that will distract you from all that is going through your head.
