The figure is 600,000+ but from that figure ~ 200,000 died as a result of insurgency action. And no Kelly T, a dead Iraqi is NOT equal to a good Iraqi.
You start sounding like the American version of Al Quaeda, where a dead American = good American.

It is now 665,000 and counting. "Who's counting?" And we don't know how many dead and wounded on the American side. Our Army friends say the number is much higher than admitted to by the Bushies.

It's probably neither of those. We can get rough estimates, but it's very difficult to figure exact numbers. It's not the safest place to go and collect your enemies bodies.
Although, the terrorists seem to enjoy doing that with our people. :(
