I have had the domain, "AffordableHealthCareUSA.com" for the past few years, and for some reason, this year, when I have attempted to renew it, I cannot seem to get it done or renewed, and I have yet to get any replies. Any suggestions?

Notice these status lines when looking up the domain name's record:

Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD
EPP Status: redemptionPeriod
Updated Date: 10-Oct-2006

Redemption Period means the domain name's deleted due to non-payment (which is why you couldn't renew it that time). But its last registered name holder has 30 days from the updated date to "redeem" it or possibly risk losing it forever.

That means you have from Oct. 10 to Nov. 10 to redeem it with DirectNIC ONLY because they were the last sponsoring registrar. There will be a "penalty fee" for not having renewed it on time, and waiting for it to become available for re-registration is NO assurance you'll be able to get it back again.

If the domain name means that much to you, I suggest you bite the bullet and redeem it ASAP with DirectNIC. No one else can do this for you.

And yes, this is a legitimate practice for various reasons. Be glad you have one last chance of possibly getting it back.

Did you CALL the customer service line of your domain registrar/registry?

you are able to swap each time, yet i does not watch on your registration to run out. i could notify the present human beings you're registered with which you extremely prefer to bypass your area and registration education to a sparkling provider.
