I have been to the Philippines twice, my husband is from the Philippines, that is where I met him. The Philippines is a beautiful country! It has amazing sights to see, Bohol is a very touristy area, it has the oldest Catholic church in the Philippines, I have been there myself and it is really neat! Snorkeling, glass bottom boats, massages on the beach, mango shakes, White sand beaches. It is a truly amazing country!

The Philippines is located in Southeast Asia and is the second largest archipelago in the world next to Indonesia. The Philippines boasts beautiful beaches, great tourists spots, diverse wildlife, great culture and a great past. The Philippines is the most westernized country in Asia, it is where the east and the west unite, you would really feel at home. The Philippines is rich in languages with over 111 dialects. Filipinos are good English speakers; there are more English speakers in the Philippines compared to the United Kingdom. Unknown to many, even though the Philippines is a so-called third-world country, many Filipinos have great passion for shopping! You can get the cheapest bargains to the most expensive things you can buy! Shop at one of the best malls in the world, Shangri-la, Greenbelt, Glorietta, Gateway and even SM Mall of Asia, the 3rd largest shopping mall in the world. Buying pearls is a great thing to do in the Philippines, the largest pearl is found here and is worth US$42mil. The food are so good! Many dishes are sauteed. The best tropical fruits are found here, the ever-popular mangoes, bananas, durian and melons. Catch cultural events especially in the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the venue of the 1974 Miss Universe. The Philippines' wildlife include the smallest primate, tarsier, monkey-eating eagle, flying foxes, tamaraws, the largest fish, the whale shark and many others. To give detail to its beautiful tourists spots here is a quote: "Mayon is the most beautiful mountain I have ever seen, the world-renowned Fujiyama (Mt. Fuji) of Japan sinking into perfect insignificance by comparison." - British traveler-writer A. Henry Savage Landor. To end, we have many "firsts", "greatest" and "bests"! For those seeking real vacation, the Philippines, the Pearl of the Orient Seas, is the place to go. I am a proud Filipino! (I can add more but I'm busy at the moment.)

How do you find the Philippines? Go to Vietnam and turn right!
Seriously, I have visited the Phil. 3x (Manila, Bohol/Cebu and Palawan) and am going again (on business) soon. I find the people absolutely wonderful. The beaches and diving are 1st rate.
Yes, there is the pollution and the food leaves a lot to be desired.
But, hey, the women are gorgeous!

philippines would be one of the best tropical countries in the asia pacific, mybe same or second to thailand, with the philippines, u can dive, surf, with its nice beach all over, boracay, cebu, palawan and mindoro, went there several times to dive. its an alternative to the pricey carribean, and much much better than indonesia.
i just hope there's like a cruise, coz its like each destination are so far away from each other, other than that its great, nice people!

To Sanja, just because you had a bad experience with a particular person or people for that matter, doesn't mean that every single person in that country is bad. Judgemental people like you should die!
