Also teaching students to rush and attack a gunman if they are confronted. AHAHAHAH!!! my kid is gonna get shot because he listen to the advise of the teacher and not the gunman!!! AHAHAHAHAAHHA!!!

While as stupid as the first thing is the second might support more thought. Arming teachers is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life. If you want a gun for protection in school, hire a security guard.
What would you do today if you were on a plane being hijacked?
what would you have done 6 years ago?
Things change. If I were in a school today and someone came in and said for all the boys to leave and the girls to stay what would you do?
With changing times comes changing response. I certainly would not sit quietly while my plane was plowed into the Washington Monument or the White House.
20 years ago people hijacked planes to make a point. They usually left the prisoners alive.

Instead of GUN control, How about PEOPLE control. Life in prison without parole for anyone convicted of robbery, theft, burglary, kidnapping, rape, etc. while armed with anything that can be construed as a deadly weapon. Murder, assault, etc would, of course result in the same sentence, if not the death penalty.
You gonna ban knives, baseball bats, 2x4's and vehicles, too??

How about parents doing their job? Taking an active role in thier child's life, interacting with them? How about parents keeping their guns secured properly? How abot a degree of personal responcibility, instead of "blaming society" for every person that screws up?

Your right.In the High school that I taught in we had armed police.I can't tell you how many times the students took their guns away from them.Most of the time it was an unarmed teacher that talked the student into giving it back.
