That is a horrible outlook on life. That really is. Don't think about dying. Don't think about losing. It happens to all of us. Everyone dies. Not everyone lives a meaningful life. Make the best of what you've got.

I personally do not think you lose anything. I think of life as preparation for death. So what you do now is going to carry on to death. So you still retain everything you have, but just in a different realm. Besides, if you stop doing things just because you think you're going to lose it, then why bother to live at all?

Hey! Don't confuse body perishment with you! You (us) are the immortal spirit and the conditions of existence do not apply to us. The Start-Change-Stop applies to all matter and Spaces but
us. A spirit is not under these laws. Cheer up, then!

It can be a little frightening to think about dieing, yet refreshing also if you are content. If you contribute something to our society and our culture in a way that will help you be remembered, or continue to bring happiness to people even after you are gone - I think that will help ease your fear.

We strive for things such as status, wealth, material possessions and friends all our lives because we believe we can show that we were. We had existed and the evidence is left behind us to those left behind.

Yes. That's why they say "You can't take it with you." Enjoy each day to the fullest. Don't forget what's really important (love, creativity, nature) & what's not (money, material possessions.) Each day might be your last. So make it meaningful. Enjoy it while you can.
