Much less than I feel threatened by Bush and the tightywhitey war machine.

There is very good reason to feel threatened, not because of actual attacks on the US, but if they launch a missile into the Pacific Ocean, the US will consider it a hostile act and then want to retaliate. We are dealing with two forces that are getting beyond control. The US wanting to dominate the world and North Korea trying to establish it dignity as a nation. If the US retaliates, either by a nuclear strike or by an attack, then China and Russia are drawn into the gambit because of mutual defense treaties. North Korea has been trying to stabilize their economy and the US has been doing its best to stiffle them. While Kim is a megalomaniac, the country is trying to save face. It needs other countries to improve its economy and feels confounded by the US's lack of response...people blame Clinton for attempting to help them, but what about India converting nuclear power into nuclear weapons...or Pakistan...did we sanction them? The US has lost two wars...the Korean War (it was never resolved) and the war in Vietnam and we are trying hard to lose the war in Iraq, and our attitude has been that we should strangle those countries that managed to finesse us...the economy in Vietnam is improving and yes, they do have nuclear physicists (I worked with two of them..both trained in America). but on the other hand, we rush to support countries that we defeated...i.e. Japan and Japan now owns a very large share of the US economy...corporations, media, real estate and we spend a billion dollars a day in Japan...and Germany...We closed the curtains on Cuba when the people wanted to be free of a dictator...backed by the US and the mafia...Now, perhaps you can see why the North Koreans are hostile. Kim is a megalomaniac, and acting childish, but we also act childish in taking our ball home and pouting.

i don't sense threatened. we've a great missile risk-free practices gadget. North Korea is like an offended skinny short guy. They cant do something yet communicate. The DPRK use Fifties and 60s technologies with malnourished infantrymen who infrequently get any useful preparation. they could no longer it the US with something.

Far more than I ever was scared of Saddam Hussein. Iran scares me as well.

Bush will never attack them though as both of these countries have the power to strike back. Just like the playground bully that picks on the smaller guy and not someone his own size.

Even if they do launch nuclear weapons, they will never reach me here in Brisbane, or anywhere in the US except Alaska. No one in the WEST has anything to worry about. Those in the EAST on the other hand...

Yes, aren't we supposed to be in a war because Bush feared there were weapons of mass destruction... and if they did have them then why would he pick a fight with them... well now there is proof of weapons elsewhere and where is Bush .... let me guess he is still worried with Iraq. Lets get this idiot out of office
