My wife and I had a similar loss three years ago. We will pray for you during this time.

Sorry for your miscarriage.
I had a miscarriage a little over a year ago, also. The doctor said it was a complete miscarriage and said I didn't require any surgery or anything. I think it could be your hormones still out of whack and all, but, miracles do happen. I have experienced this first hand. I told my mom that I still felt preg even after the doc told me there was no sign of a baby in my uterus, and 4 wks later I took another preg. test and it said positive. And eight months later, I had my little princess. I had not had intercourse with my husband in between that time of my miscarriage and taking the preg. test, either. So, I think either way is possible. I think the best way would be to take another urine test, or to be more safe, go to your doc and get a blood test.

I am going thru that right now actually and it is defintely a confusing time. I had my miscarriage the first week of September and I still have not had my first period since then and I also don't have any period systems. Some people will have their period again after the 28 days but for some people it will take longer. But yes It is normal.

Typically after a miscarriage your period can take up to 6-7 weeks to return to a normal cycle. I personally got pregnant right after one miscarriage, and then I miscarried again. I am glad you were careful and took your MD's suggestion wisely (I didn't!) I am now one month post 2nd miscarriage, and I just got my period 5 weeks later--usually I am a regular 30 day cycle.
Don't worry, your body is just trying to adjust to the changes. Think of it as your body cleaning your system out to make way for another baby! I would call your doctor if you haven't received your period 8 weeks after the miscarriage.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage around the eightth week of my first pregnancy. Yes It is normal for your body to be irregular after a miscarriage. Your body could still have some hormones that will make it think that it is still pregnant. But if I were you, if my period did not come soon I would make an appointment with my OBGYN.

I miscarried in February of this year and the 1st period after I was a little over 2 weeks late and did a test also, and it was negative..BUT when it did come, it was a gully washer!!I 8 days straight..but the next month I was pregnant! Blessed again with a baby. They say after a miscarrriage (DNC) it is very easy to become pregnant because the lining is so thin and clean...Good luck and if you don't start in a few days..I would da another test.

First of all - sorry about your miscarriage. I have been through it myself.
After having a miscarriage - your period is said to come in around 6 weeks after your D&C or loss. My full period came 6 weeks after the light bleeding and spotting after the loss. If you are in your 4th week only - that might explain why your period has not arrived.

I don't remember if I was late after my miscarriage, it was 13 yrs ago. If your doctor examined you, and said yes, you had a miscarriage, then your hormones could be off, if you don't start soon, call the doctor, and get one of their pregnancy test. The over the counter pregnancy tests aren't always accurate. Your OB/GYN can do blood work that checks your hormone levels, and is a very accurate pregnancy test.
