9/x divided 15/y

i alway get this type of questions wrong,how do i solve it

It's two fractions it hard to do it in the computer since it wont write down the traditional division sign or put things in fractions.
it 9/x = fraction divided by 15/y= fraction

9/x ÷ 15/y

Flip the second and multiply

9/x times y/15 = 9x/15y

Reduce by 3 = 3x/5y which is your andwer

9y/15x This is what I was told in school when dividing fractions. Keep it (the first one) , change it (as in change / to * ) , then flip it (flip the fraction around as in the bottom to the top). So it looks like 9/x * y/15.

by dividing 2 variables you'll get nothing. by your ques, it seems 9/x divided by 15/y. i don't think it has a solution or it will be 9y/15x.
maybe i am not able to understand ur ques, explain more next time and i might help

there is simple rule :
first write the numerator as it is , and then below it the denominator,
anything which is below one lvl in the denominator goes to numerator, here, y goes to the numerator, so the final expression becomes 9y/15x
