not all Americans are stupid yes there are some stupid ones BUT you can say the same for Britain there are some very stupid ones here most of them (which is the most worrying) work for the government .so i don't think its fair to stereotype America .

There are stupid people in all cultures! Sure there are stupid American's. Being stupid in and of itself is not a drawback because hard work can overcome mental deficiencies in most cases. Ignorance is FAR more dangerous. Being smart and not knowing what to do with it. Being intelligent and not knowing how to use that intelligence may be even more dangerous.
It is all relative on your defination of the term stupid. There are stupid people all around the world.

America is a society that consisits of people from around the world. If you really think Americans are stupid, then you are saying people are stupid in general (which you may be able to build a case for, especially when you consider the frequency of these kinds of questions on this site, as well as some of the answers to them.)
Instead of trying to get attention by asking weighted, ignorant, and inflammatory questions like this, why don't you focus on yourself and your own society, wherever that may be; I'm willing to bet it has plenty of its own problems, and I'm also willing to bet it has a fair share of 'stupid' people as well.

I am seriously getting tired of these childish attacks on Americans. I am British, but I regard the questioner as stupid for posing such a dumb question. To you Americans, I would suggest that you ignore this childishness, because they have probably been indoctrinated by their left wing teachers/lecturers, or perhaps, the left leaning TV media.

Some are, but not all. Some Americans are only focused on themselves, and have little interest in what's going on around them, or in the rest of the world. Ask them a question about another country or even their own, and chances are they will not know. America is now approaching a population of 300,000,000 but only a tiny fraction of that could be said to be really dumb, but most people apply that to "all" Americans.

Where are you from? You seem ignorant & arrogant. You seem like the kind of foolish person who believes that all blacks are lazy, on welfare and into drugs, and that all Mexicans are drug lords, and so on and so forth. I would be curious to find out your race, ethnic background, family social economic status, educational status etc. Would you want me to judge you on your demographics?I think not. It is simple. Discrimination & bias is a sign of great ignorance! Americans are made up of all races, all ethnic backgrounds and all types of people from all over the world....this is fact! There are stupid people all over the world. Better question would be are Americans ignornant. To which I would reply yes quite a large part of our population is ignorant. Ignornace can be corrected though.

Generally speaking, uninformed would be a better way to describe it. Stupid must be a label bestowed by those silly elitist-minded types in Europe. They will get theirs soon enough. Welfare states cannot last and their day of reckoning is coming soon. We will see how intelligent they appear in the future.
It is interesting to note, however, that when the world needs help, they still turn to those "stupid" Americans for leadership and assistance. Amazing how that works.

No! The education system is though! That doesn't mean Americans, (Me and a few other people) are stupid. Unless you mean politics, then yes most to all right wing, left wing, independant they are all stupid, only to an extent. The may be smart at something else, but none of them these days are smart at politics.
