You hear all the time about how this person or that person used a loop whole to get out of paying taxes. My question is, if you found a way to do that, wouldn't you. I think everyone would try to get out of paying taxes or at least pay less if they could find a way.

Of course I would. I think the issue is that gov. officials want you to pay taxes but don't want to pay themselves which seems a little hyocritical. At least that's how I view the democrats. They always want to tax this and tax that. At least the republicans don't hide the fact that they don't want to pay taxes. The problem is most of the tax cuts and loopholes benefit the richest portion of America, people who don't need the extra money as much as regular Joe's like me.

You would be unAmerican if you didn't try and find some way to pay less taxes.
That's why you see those multimillion dollar charitable gift giving.
Even people with moderate incomes look for deductions that may be questionable.
