If possible, go back where you first met and have a romantic picnic. That is, if it is an appropriate setting. What else is fun, is getting all dressed up, picking him up from work or where ever, and take him to a nice quiet restaurant and just reminisce about things that happened over the past year and the things that you are looking forward to in your future together. I like that your taking the reins here and not waiting for him to do it! Good for you!

Make him take you to an expensive restaurant and in return you buy something from Victoria Secrets and fulfill a fantasy of his. LOL...or is that fantasy involves a something little bit more "fun" than what VS can provide ie catholic school girl uniform ect, then buy something from you local sex shop or go on-line. Now that Halloween is coming up you can find just about any sexy little outfit that would make him flip his lid. And! You'll have it for Halloween too....see you just killed two birds with one stone. LOL
You'll both have an absolutely wonderful time....guaranteed.

Do something meaningful to the relationship. It depends on who is the boss. If he is, then let him plan it, if you are, then plan something both of you would enjoy. A nice picnic, go to a sports event, do something thoughtful for him but not too mushy because he would probably not understand the sentiment as much as you would. If you are sexually active, thats always a nice day to give some up.

Dress up really nice together and go for night on the town or you can have a nice quiet dinner at home with candles all lit and dance the night away and you can also surprise him with something he has always wanted. Congratulations on your one year. Hope this helps.
