Because you don't believe in lying about yourself? i.e. gay or lesbian? Just curious.

I guess I should also say I don't go to church because of this debate. I just noticed that some people wanted to know if they had to leave and wasn't for sure if they had to. i.e. only a few leaders wanted them to leave but the rest loved them.

Any church that didn't want you because you're a homosexual is not a church you should want to go to anyway. If they are a bible believing church, they aren't following the Bible!

Yes. You would physically have to leave the church because it is private property and you would be tresspassing. If you are talking more long term, like being disfellowshipped from a church, you would once again have no choice in the matter. Religion is the one area which can openly discriminate against someone with no reprecussions from the law. Most churches however would not ask you to leave because you are gay. Religion views homosexuality as a sin and they would actually try to help you dissolve yourself from this sin.

Being gay or lesbian doesn't make you bad and Jesus still love you just the same. It's the following through i.e. gay sex that is wrong. Just as it is wrong for a married person to have an affair. Actually the Bible says that if you see your brother sinning go to him and talk and if he refuses to listen bring 2 or 3 with you to talk to him and if he still refuses to listen bring it before the church (assuming all parties are members of the church) and if that person still refuses to listen you can ask them to leave... thats the end of the history lesson.. now in todays world if a church ask you to leave can they make you? Sure can...

Gay, Lesbian, hair color, the way one talks, dresses etc. A church is not a public place. They are a "private" organization and can pick and choose who they accept and who they don't. I don't believe this is right considering they are a church and should accept ALL as the Lord has but again the church is made up of men and Men's doctrines.

If they ask you to leave then you should...but THEY will be held accountable.

So many churches take a few verses from the Bible and stick to them like a pit bull on steroids! They forget about Matt.22:37 - 40 the verses that tell all those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior that the Mosaic Laws do not apply to the TRUE Christian. The Mosaic Laws were replaced by Jesus's own words in Matt.22:37 - 40 When Jesus said, 39 ", Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these TWO commandments hang ALL the law and the Prophets." (emphasis mine).

Everyone should learn these 4 verses and live by them. There would be much less strife in the world be ye Christian or not!
All Christians as well as ALL peoples will have to answer to those two laws sometime. Remember that EVERY knee will BOW! (note: if you don't know the first of the two laws...look it up)

if in such that condition mentioned above appeared then a good church shouldn't ask you to leave in the first place but rather have consultation with the higher official, but if they do then leaving or not won't really matter, why? Because in the end only you decide about your own life, and who knows what God has in stored for your faith. Have faith my friend.

It all depends on where it too place private or public (ie: State or Fed property)....Private then YES....public then NO (not unless the Police comes out and tells you to move....

There are lots of Churches that teach tolerance go to one of them and be with people that take you for what and who you are......

If a church asked you to leave because you are gay then it's real clear that, that particular church is not a house of God so you should gladly leave and find another church.

You shouldn't be asked to leave for being gay. If you've done something horrible, then you should leave, but being gay is no reason to be thrown out. Find a more compassionate church if this has happened to you!
