Well, to me it would be The Grudge, starring Sarah Michelle Geller. It's a remake of the Japanese movie titled Ju-On. Morbidly scary, the both of them... Great for Halloween movie night. On the same line, you should consider the horror Thai flick, The Shutter... Cheers!!!

If you mean scary by gory, then I would have to say George Romero's "Day of the Living Dead." Although I didn't find it personally scary at all, there are some scenes which may frigthen some people, but it was pretty cool.

I LOVE scary movies, i would probably say the scariest is The Decent, I probably spelled that wrong, but there is blood EVERYWHERE, but im more into things poping out at you, but my fav of all is Silent Hill! I love that movie! ive beaten all the games!

It is not a horror movie, in my opinion, it is by far the scariest movie I have ever seen. That movie is "Glitter." Just thinking about is bone chilling.

The origional version of The Grudge....It's so scary, it's wrong. Sarah Michelle whoever one is just pump in conparision.

You should also check out the origional b/w version of The Haunting... thats a great film, really spooky.

Black Christmas really scared me when I first saw it when I was young & it still does. I used to live in a house where my bedroom was in the attic - I had a hard time sleeping at night after seeing this movie.
