Volume = a power 3
Area = 6* (a power 2)

6*a2 = a3
a = 6

Volume = a power 3
= 6 power 3
so 216 :)

The volume of a cube is s^3 and the surface area is 6*s^2, since there are sixe faces of a cube: set them equal to each other and solve.
s^3=6s^2
so s=6 and the volume and surface area of this cube would be 216, as you already said.

You have not worded the question correctly. From the answer you have given if vol=216 then one side of the cube is 6 and surface area shall be 6*6^2=216. ok
We try to derive this mathematically
Let the side of the cube be x
volume =x^3
surface area=6x^2
x^3=6x^2
x=6
So volume =6*6*6=216 cubic units

VOLUME OF CUBE=A^3;
WHERE A IS SIDE OF CUBE;

SURFACE OF CUBE=6A^2

VOLUME=AREA
A^3=6A^2
A=6

SO VOLUME =A^3=216
